WHO sets the anemia cutoff at <13.0 g/dL in men, <12.0 g/dL in non-pregnant women and <11.0 g/dL in pregnancy.

In non-pregnant women mild anemia is 11.0–11.9; other cutoffs are the same. g/dL × 10 = g/L.
